Demyx eagerly waited for Zexion to enter with his breakfast. He was nearly ten minutes late, which was weird, since everyone knew Zexion was a little OCD about being on time. "I wonder what coulda happened to him... Maybe Lex didn't see him and accidentally stepped on him..." Demyx said thoughtfully, though his brain was almost always devoid of thought.
The door slammed open, and Zexion came in wearing his blue apron as usual, as well as a few scratches and other assorted wounds. Demyx was taken aback by this on account of Zexion being rather peaceful in nature. He wouldn't have picked a fight with anyone, so someone had to have done this. But who? "Zexy, you don't look too good..." Demyx said sadly, reaching for the tray.
"Sorry Demyx, a few things arose that required my immediate attention." Zexion coughed hard.
"Zexy, you need to be more careful! What happened to you?" Demyx asked.
Zexion looked away and replied, "That's none of your concern, Demyx. Enjoy."
With these words, Zexion abruptly took his leave. Demyx was shocked by his friend's attitude toward what happened, whatever it was. That only made him more curious as to what got Zexion there in the first place. The cogs in Demyx's ever-void mind and he began to think about who the perp could be. "Ok, think Demyx! Who really doesn't like Zexion enough to hurt him? Larxene? No, they were kinda close I guess... Xigbar? Nah, they're buddies...I think... hmm.... Lex coulda stepped on him. But then he's supposed to be the *Silent Hero, so he would've tried to fix him before letting him cook for me... Oh, this is soooo confusing! If someone would've written down hints, it would make this a lot easier! Who else? The Superior? No, he's too busy to do anything but stare at Kingdom Hearts! Saïx? No, I trained puppy too well... but he does have some anger issues... maybe it was him! But then he's always with The Superior, so it couldn't have been him. Xaldin? I think he was still in Beast's Castle for an overnight mission... *Vexen's too busy in the lab doing his mad-scientist stuff... but then who does that le-"
Someone knocked on Demyx's door. "Who is it?" Demyx called happily, as if to forget anything ever happened to Zexion.
"It is your Superior, now let me in, 9," said Xemnas in his usual slow, deep voice.
"What do ya want? Oh, please don't tell me I'm teamed up with Roxas again..." Demyx replied.
"That WAS my intention, 9. Now get going, 13 and you have an Underworld mission today."
Demyx had only been to the Underworld a few times before, and each time, a giant three-headed dog had nearly chomped his head off. He kept telling Mansex that he wasn't cut out for fighting missions, but he just kept assigning them to him. *Disvoided, Demyx walked through piles of clothes and comic books to his closet. He reached in and grabbed his Organization cloak that Mansex required every member of the Organization to wear each day, and the black pants and boots to match. Demyx didn't really get why they had to wear something so hot, even during the summer. He wished they could've at least had Heartless costumes to dress up in. They were more fun-looking than the boring black cloak. He dressed himself, and headed slowly out the door and into the Grey Area of Castle Oblivion. Saïx was standing in his usual spot, waiting to give out missions to everyone but himself and the Superior. He sauntered over to him and waited for Saïx to give him the mission details.
"Today, we will be pairing you up with Roxas. Your mission is to eliminate the *GUH in the Underworld. Be prepared, then be on your way," Saïx said nonchalantly.
"Ugh, ok. Man, I keep telling him that I'm not cut out for missions like these..." Demyx said under his breath.
He walked over to the moogle in the corner and bought some potions, a few extra casts of water magic, and some ethers to keep the number of casts up. It was always limited like that so there wouldn't be much fighting in Castle Oblivion, and it worked rather well. Once Demyx was packed, he summoned a dark corridor and walked through.

The corridor let Demyx out in a dark tunnel. The blue flame torches made the scene very monochrome in it's own special way. It also made it a bit frightening if you'd never been there before. Small wisps of light flew freely throughout the tunnel, the things Demyx recognized as the spirits under Olympus. Roxas came out behind Demyx, and asked, "Ok, so our mission was to find this Heartless, right? Do you want to split up, like all the other times?"
"And risk facing that thing alone? No way!" Demyx replied.
"Then come on."
Demyx followed Roxas for a little while, the tunnel getting deeper and a bit darker. "Hey, Roxas, can I ask you something?" Demyx said a bit shyly.
"Uh, sure Demyx. What is it?" Roxas replied.
"Well, I was just wondering... did you see anything happen to Zexy this morning? He didn't look too good when he gave me my breakfast, so I was wondering if you had seen anything."
"... I don't think he told anyone what happened, but I heard some noises from his room late last night. Maybe that has something to do with it... still, we should get back on track. This Heartless won't defeat itself."
"...Right..." Demyx replied, imbued with even more curiosity than before. "Hey, maybe I should keep guard! Y'know, to make sure no Heartless get out of the Underworld!"
"Uh, well ok I guess..." Roxas replied. He knew this was Demyx-talk for "go slack off".
"Nothing's gonna escape while I'm here!" Demyx said with false enthusiasm.
He began running back towards where they had come out of the dark corridor. Once he had arrived, he sat down against the blue stone wall of the tunnel and summoned his sitar. He loved playing it night and day, and he was really good at it too. He began strumming it, the watery ribbons of music echoing against the tunnel's walls and ceiling. It reminded him of being underwater. He loved the feeling of water, the smell of water, just being near water made  him happy. He did control it after all. After about thirty minutes of playing, Roxas came running back towards the dark corridor. He stopped when he heard the beautiful music from Demyx's sitar. The music could almost captivate it's listener in a smooth, watery trance. Roxas snapped out of it, and ran over to Demyx.
Seeing Roxas there suddenly, Demyx jumped. He hadn't even heard him coming. "Oh, hey there Roxas! I defeated all those Heartless near the cave entrance for ya! Hehe..." Demyx sheepishly said.
"Yeah... well are we gonna RTC or what?" Roxas said, not believing what Demyx had said.
"Oh, ok then. Lets go. Before more Heartless come," Demyx replied.
The dark corridor opened up once more, and they both walked through.

In a few seconds, the dark corridor opened up to let Roxas and Demyx back in the Castle. When they got there, two strange new girls were sitting on the couch talking to each other. "Hey, Roxas, do you know them?" Demyx whispered.
"Oh! Uh... yeah, they're sorta new members of the Organization. That one is Salyxas..." he pointed to the short, wavy-haired brunette, "...and she's Akxsintri." He then pointed to the long brown haired girl beside the first one. "Xemnas recently recruited them."
"Oh, really? They seem familiar..." Demyx thought for a moment, but then Roxas pushed him toward his room.
"No, you don't know them! Now get back to your room!" Roxas said guiltily.
"Ok, ok, sheesh." Demyx began walking toward his room. "I wonder what got into Roxas...?"
When Demyx got back to his room, he thought he should  go and see Zexion and try once more to see what had happened to him. He walked down the hall and stopped in front of the door with the Roman numeral VI on it. He opened the door quietly and peered inside. To his surprise, he saw Zexion and Xigbar were in there, talking like civilized people. Huh, that's weird. They're usually fighting, Demyx thought. Demyx couldn't make out what they were talking about, but whatever it was made  Zexion really mad. Due to one of his injuries, Demyx guessed, he began falling. Xigbar caught him in his arms, tango-style, their lips close. Zexion blushed deeply, since he wasn't too good with things like that. In his bookish nature, it was hard just to get him out of his room every day.
Xigbar ignored this and leaned in closer and closer. Demyx's eyes widened. Xigbar's lips met Zexion's in an uneven mix of confusion and lust. Demyx couldn't believe what had happened. A deep memory of sadness entered Demyx's soul, giving him a choked-up feeling. Hot tears began welling up in his eyes.
He turned and ran away from the door towards his room. He burst through the door, slammed it shut behind him, and ran and jumped onto his bed, burying his face in the sheets. He sobbed into the mattress, and Chester came up on the bed to try and comfort his master. Demyx grabbed Chester close and hugged him hard. He just wanted someone or someheartless to comfort him. He continued to sob uncontrollably. Chester's long, black antennae wiggled a little bit, as if to say, when translated from the Heartless' language, "Don't worry, everything will be fine, master. Hush, now, no more leaking."
"Thanks Chester..." Demyx wiped his face with the sleeve of his cloak. "...but I don't think everything will be ok," he blubbered.
The small Heartless' antennae wiggles again, this time as if to say "Just tell me what happened. You can trust me."
Demyx looked into his Heartless' big, glowy, golden eyes.
"Ok, I guess I can tell you..."
The eleventh part of The Triangle. I didn't actually have much of an idea for what to do, so I just thought as I wrote. I hope you enjoy. Oh, and for the starred things! Here's a description!
*disvoided- originally, this would have been disheartened, but since Nobodies don't have hearts, that would be incorrect. I just say they have black voids where their hearts once were.
*GUH- acronym for Giant Unidentified Heartless.
*Vexen's mad-scientist stuff- Vexen is the Castle Oblivion scientist who works on God-knows-what in the basement. Yeah, nothing like trying to sleep and hearing that creepy cackling rising up through the vents.
*Silent Hero- each Organization member has a nickname. Lexaeus's nickname happens to be the Silent Hero because he is a very docile, yet large spirit.
Note that those last two were for non-KH fans (which I know there's one or two of Hannah) I think that was all the starred things... if there are any more, I'll put them here. Oh, I don't actually own any of the characters in here except for Akxsintri and Salyxas. Chester belongs to :icontealpirate: :iconkellyjane: and all the others are property of Square Enix/ Disney.
